About LGO Hospitality
La Grande Orange was born in what was once a vast sea of sweet orange groves in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. In the 30s, it was well known that Arizona’s young and spirited would park their cars in a large circle with their headlights on and dance to the tunes of Benny Goodman and Count Basie. Inspired by that memory, owner Bob Lynn pays reverence in his restaurants to those good times, positive vibrations, and winning spirit.
As in America, flavors are big, portions are mindful and value is long. LGO restaurants are known for their honest approach to quality food with no hidden ingredients that appeal to a genuine democracy. At each restaurant, dishes are created daily with fresh and honest ingredients showcasing LGO’s ability to transform American comfort food into healthy classics with a modern point of view. Lynn’s culinary philosophy is to simply help great ingredients reach their full potential.
Lynn has done this successfully and continues to do so in Arizona with the LGO Grocery, a boutique style grocery store/café, and the La Grande Orange Pizzeria, which earned 5 out of 5 stars from Howard Seftel at the Arizona Republic. Chelsea’s Kitchen, an adobe building with a zinc roof on the canal, could have been an abandoned VFW Hall. Lynn always envisioned it as an Arizona roadhouse serving food that pays tribute to the heritage and history of the area. In California, this philosophy is spread to Pasadena with the opening of La Grande Orange Café.
